Q. What is SoulFriends?
SoulFriends is a global community of creative and engaged people, connected by a common desire to develop their innate potential, find deeper social fulfillment, and explore diverse paths towards spiritual actualization. Our website serves as a portal for expert and focused information, services and products which guide our members in their explorations.
Q. Who can Join SoulFriends?
Membership is open to anyone with an interest and desire to learn more about the areas of human potential, social fulfillment and spiritual actualization from many points of view, by tapping into the collective wisdom of diverse thinkers. Those who care deeply about our natural environment and nurturing the planet may also find themselves drawn to join our community.
Q. How do I Join?
To become a member of the community, click on the Join button at the top right hand side of the Home Page. You’ll be directed to a registration page where you will choose a User Name that is meaningful to you, select a password, and complete a form with several required fields. When you are ready, submit your request using the Complete Registration button at the bottom of the page. If you have provided all necessary information and a valid e-mail address, you’ll receive an e-mail describing additional steps needed to complete the process.
Q. What is the difference between a SoulFriend and a SoulSage?
A SoulFriend is anyone who feels an affinity with the vision, mission and focus of the SoulFriends community and chooses to register using the Join button on the Home Page. On the other hand, a SoulSage is typically an acknowledged practitioner, academic or expert having proven experience, certification or formal training as a spiritual coach, counselor, educator, mentor, practitioner or therapist. SoulFriends members benefit from the wisdom, expertise, guidance and services offered by the expert community of SoulSages.
Q. How can I invite others to join SoulFriends?
Once you have joined the community and logged in using your User Name and password, you will automatically be taken to the SoulFriends Member Portal. Select the “invite a Friend” link in the SoulFriends Website section of the member portal and provide your friend’s e-mail address when prompted. We’ll send them an e-mail invitation on your behalf.
Q. What features does SoulFriends have?
Our web team is continuously developing and enhancing the SoulFriends site, so visit us frequently to see what’s new. Our current features include:
- The SoulChest - a searchable treasure trove of links to news, events, articles, videos, publications, and external blogs aligned with our mission.
- Articles by experts and experienced practitioners in transpersonal actualization.
- Our SoulCircles interactive online community (open to members only) with:
- Informative and enriching SoulSage blogs about wholeness, life fulfillment, spiritual development, and transformative experiences.
- Forums, also known as discussion boards with lively conversations about life purpose, health and wellness, social fulfillment, spirituality, human development and more.
- The SageWiki, is a crowd-sourced encyclopedia developed by our SoulSage expert community.
Q. How can I find out if my friends are members?
Except for the publicly available contact information of Associate Members (organizations) and SoulSages who are featured on the Home Page, all other SoulFriends membership information is kept private. You have the option of checking our Facebook page to see whether any of your friends have indicated that they LIKE us there. You can also recommend us and spread the word about us to your friends by LIKING us on Facebook.
Q. What is an Associate?
Associates are like-minded organizations with an affinity for the SoulFriends mission and vision, who have entered into an advertising agreement with SoulFriends. They pay a fee to be featured on the right hand side of our Home Page. Details on associate member benefits and costs can be viewed online at our payment page.
Q. How does my organization become an Associate?
If your organization is ready to join, simply click on the Join button at the top right hand side of the Home Page. You’ll be directed to a registration page where you will choose a User Name that is meaningful to you, select a password, and complete a form with several required field, including the membership type AF, which stands for Associate Friend. When you are ready, submit your request using the Complete Registration button at the bottom of the page. If you have provided all necessary information and a valid e-mail address, you’ll receive an e-mail describing additional steps needed to complete the process.

Q. How can I see the survey or poll results?
SoulFriends current policy is to keep survey and poll results private. This policy may be revisited in the future.
Q. What are SoulCircles and how do I join one?
SoulCircles are at the center of online community activities at SoulFriends, and are only open to site members (SoulFriends, SoulSages or Associates). When you initiate or respond to a group discussion in the Forums area or respond to a SoulSage blog posting in the Blogs area, you are participating in a SoulCircle.
Q. What are the criteria for determining someone a SoulSage?
We encourage acknowledged practitioners, academics or experts with proven experience, certification or formal training as spiritual coaches, counselors, educators, mentors, practitioners or therapists in Transpersonal Psychology or a related field to apply for SoulSage membership. In addition, we consider the ideal SoulSage to be someone whose philosophy aligns with our goals of providing guidance and fostering personal growth and self-sufficiency among community members, someone who is committed to “teaching a person to fish” rather than simply “giving a person a fish”.
Q. How do I submit suggestions for the website?
There are a couple of ways. You can send us a message with your suggestions by going to the Contact Us page located under the About Us menu at the top left hand side of our site, completing and submitting the feedback form. Also, if you are logged in to the website as a member, you can respond to the Member Survey displayed on the Member Portal page, which asks “What new feature would you like to see on SoulFriends?”
Q. What is a portal?
A portal is a website which acts as a gateway or entry point to information on the world wide web. Some portals are general purpose connection points. On the other hand, SoulFriends is a specialized or niche portal which connects users and members to information, products and services aligned with spiritual growth. |
